Office Hours
Office Photos
Our office will do its best to schedule appointments at your convenience. We find that young or anxious children have a better experience in the morning. At this time of day, children are well rested, refreshed, and more cooperative.
School-aged children can be scheduled throughout the day for routine visits. Sedation appointments are only scheduled in the morning. We would appreciate a 48 hour
cancellation notice.
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided. This includes deductibles and
co-insurance. We accept cash, personal checks, and most major credit cards. We also take Care Credit.
We create an individualized treatment plan for all patients. Our treatment coordinator will review the recommended treatment and the estimation of your dental insurance reimbursement.
Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan that fits your timetable and budget and gives your child
the best possible care.

Dentistry for Children
What is a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric dentist like Dr. Phillips is a specialist dedicated to the oral health of children and the management of their dental development and growth. A pediatric dentist has an additional two to three years of specialty training following dental school and limits their practice to treating children only. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as children with special health care needs. We understand that children have unique dental and behavioral needs compared to adults. In addition to treating existing dental problems, we focus on prevention through patient and parent education. We will provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.

Dr. Alexis Phillips is looking forward to providing excellent and compassionate dental care to the children of Boise.
Dr. Alexis Phillips grew up outside of Atlanta in a medical family with three younger brothers. She attended the University of Georgia, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the Dental College of Georgia. She graduated top of her class and was awarded membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society.
Following dental school, Dr. Phillips’ love of kids led her to continue her education with two years of specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, one of the top 3 ranked children’s hospitals in the country. Residency at Cincinnati Children’s provided her with extensive training in treating the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special developmental or medical needs. She also gained expertise in sedation dentistry, advanced behavioral management techniques, and dental trauma.
Dr. Phillips resides in the North End with her fiancé, Eric Lyall, an emergency medicine physician at St. Alphonsus. They enjoy cooking, hiking and biking the foothills, skiing the slopes, and exploring the city with their dog, Henry. Alexis and Eric are excited to make Boise their new home.

First Pediatric Dental Visit
Request a Visit
Dr. Phillips and her team are dedicated to great dental experiences. We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend you bring your child for their first check-up when their first tooth appears or by their first birthday.
During your first visit, you will be introduced to our children’s dental team and have a tour of our office. We will also discuss your child’s unique smile and ways to keep it beautiful for years to come.
We request that you complete our "New Patient Forms" prior to arriving for your appointment. This helps our office keep you and everyone else’s scheduled visit on time.
Your initial exam will last approximately 30 minutes. Oral hygiene instructions will be given with suggestions to help you and your child care for their teeth.
In most cases, we will clean your child's teeth on this visit and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
Please print and fill out our New Patient Forms.
Bring them with you to your first appointment. Thank you.
You may also email them to us prior to your visit.
